Larkspur Aucoin is plucky healer from the small town of Aburndale, who works as a cleric by day and a waitress at the Crystalin by night. Aburndale has always suffered from earthquakes, but as she's grown older the quakes have gotten steadily worse - more often and more intense than she and her people are able to keep up with. As the only person in her town with powers at all, Larkspur is studious in trying to teach herself Wielding - the power to control elements. Thus far she's had no luck, but when she meets Cain she gets the opportunity to traverse the continent to attend the Magic School of Dero.
She's kind-hearted, shy extrovert and while she can keep her cool during emergencies with her background as a cleric, outside of it she's socially awkward and anxious. Larkspur is a singer and musician hobbyist, and uses music to ease her nerves and help connect with others.
